Piemonte Film Commission

The Film Commission Torino Piemonte (FCTP) has a new website. This features a location guide with 744 locations divided into 18 categories ranging from urban settings to natural environments, and including monuments, infrastructure and place of worship, and a production guide that lists 146 production companies, 152 service providers, 863 professionals, 164 actors and actresses and 170 cinema screens. The quick and intuitive portal also makes it easy to consult the financing grants available, a database of 1,132 films linked in some way to the region and the latest industry news, including updates on casting calls.

The website of the Piedmont Region has published the results of the first session of the Piedmont Film TV Fund which was allocated a total of €4.5 million for the 2018-2020 three year period to support cinema and TV production companies. Nine productions have been granted a total of 1.5 million. The grantees include various feature-length films: Bentornato presidente! – the sequel to Benvenuto Presidente! (produced by HT Film) – Berni e il Faraone (3Zero2Tv), Gli uomini d’oro (Italian International Film), Palazzo di giustizia (Tempesta), Nel buio (Redibis film) and the TV movie Non ho niente da perdere (Pepito Produzioni). Additionally there are 3 TV series: Nessuno è perfetto (produced by Viola Srl), La strada di casa 2 (Casanova Multimedia) and Non mentire (Indigo Film). All these productions complete principal photography in the region in the period between September 2018 and February 2019.

In addition to the Piemonte Film TV Fund, there are three further types of financing available, details of which can be found online in the Film Funds section of the new FCTP portal: Piemonte Doc Film Fund, which supports documentaries; Short Film Fund, for short films, and the Under 35 Digital Video Contest.
