Venice Film Market – European Gap-Financing Market

The Venice Film Market – Industry Office is pleased to present, the 2nd edition of the European Gap-Financing Market, which will take place on September 4 and 5, 2015. The European Gap-Financing Market is a new platform intended to support the European producers to secure the final financing of their projects through one-to-one meetings with potential and appropriate international professionals.

Please find enclosed the BOOK OF PROJECTS with all the details of the selected titles as well as the Meeting Request Form to book your meeting with the producers and directors in attendance.

The first edition met with considerable success and indeed some of the titles presented in Venice last year in the meantime had their world premieres at two prestigious festivals: the Italian film Sworn Virgin by Laura Bispuri and produced by Vivo Film was presented in competition at the 2015 Berlin Film Festival, the Lithuanian  project Peace To Us in Our Dreams by Sharunas Bartas was presented as part of the Quinzaine des Réalisateurs at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival.

Two films will have their world premiere during the 72nd Venice Film Festival, Interruption by Yorgos Zois in the Orizzonti section and First Light by Vincenzo Marra in the Venice Days section.

Eight further films have been completed by now and some have already been released, while others will be presented at festivals in the coming months.
